I use note-cards and mnemonics. I'm also fond of repetition (which will allow the student to obviously retain the information) and often do reviews at the end of a session to further examine what said student is struggling with.
So far I have only tutored one student for a year or so. However, I am very knowledgeable in these subjects and hope to make the best of your child's tutoring experience. I made the switch to Sports Management, but not before I received over a full academic year of experience and learning in BMA. We learn from our own mistakes.

I encourage my students to be the core of teaching by stimulating them to engage in discussions about certain topics of their liking. Also, I encourage them express themselves even though they might make mistakes. I help them find why is it a mistake and how to correct them.
I taught Arabic as a second language in Plainfield Indiana to students of different ages and of both sexes. I taught all language skills with some concentration on reading skills and conversation. The size of the class was relatively big as I had about 40 students. I encouraged students to express their ideas in the form of written sentences and the I would go over what they wrote in order to correct their sentences by showing the how to construct a sound Arabic sentences.
