I Have been a teacher since 2002. I have had various experience in teaching students diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, OCD, PDD, ODD, as well as other learning, social, emotional, and behavioral disabilities. I have also had experience tutoring students from grades one to ten. I have had to plan and implement individual education plans as well as independent lessons for various students. I have a Masters degree in Mathematics and a Bachelors degree in Education. I am certified to teach Integrated Mathematics to grades 7-12 by the Ohio Department of Education and have been designated as a Highly Qualified teacher. Tutoring is part of my life which I started from the time I entered into College (1986) for my undergraduate courses. I started my teaching career in the year of 1992 with a premier high school in New Delhi, the capital of India. The methods of teaching I was instructed when I obtained my Bachelor in Education at the University of Akron Ohio, from 1989-1991, was the following Integrated, Whole language approach and Montessori. The method we were instructed to use in the Akron city school system was Integrated which uses basic and whole language approach language Arts. These integrated units allow us the opportunity to make sure children are learning relevant information and applying that knowledge to real life scenarios.
