How do I summarize teaching in my life? I guess the best way to explain my teaching experience is to tell you a story. As a young girl I wanted to be a teacher. Because of my love of learning I taught all my siblings how to read. I know it is pretty funny but it is a true story. That led to my doing teaching seminars, which led to consulting, which led to training, which led to my working with individuals as a life coach. I have been a CEO, Vice President, Consultant, Senior Broker, Artist, Photographer, Glass Blower, Jewelry Designer and writer, the job titles have changed over the years; the only consistent has been that teaching has always been a part of my working life.

As a graduate of Bard College, where I earned a degree in English literature, I have acquired an excellent background in the discipline of writing and composition. I have built upon this experience by earning two Master's degrees, one in Special Education and the other in Library Science. I enjoy and excel in the field of research as evidenced by my career choices, for example, Lead Librarian for an IBM Research project and School Media Specialist at two high schools in Fairfield County Connecticut. I have tutored students in English throughout my tenure as a media specialist.
