I studied at Kalamazoo college, which was a liberal arts school that encouraged students to take a variety of courses. The summer I was a camp counselor I knew that I wanted to make a difference in children's lives. At that point, I decided to complete my BS in Kinesiology and then pursue an MA in Education. Upon graduation, I was employed by Detroit Public Schools teaching low income, bilingual children.
