Involving all the senses in a Montessori-style approach reaches more parts of the brain, and increases the desire to learn more. I earned my Engineering Degree in 1998 and have worked my entire career in that field. As a science educator I strive to have students build their own knowledge with my guidance. A Little Bit About Me...

I have educated both college and middle school students, and through these experiences I learned that the key to effectively teaching others is patience. I guide my students but do not do the work for them. Most students have the ability to learn the material being instructed to them. By being patient, I give the students the opportunity to problem solve on their own, which ultimately builds confidence. With more confidence, students seem to learn better. I believe this is the key to mastering any academic subject.
I recently graduated college with a BA in Human Biology, and I am currently in the transition between undergraduate school and medical school. I have worked for the past 6 years with children in school settings. I did a lot of tutoring work during my school counseling internship. I tutored 3 different middle school girls who needed help in all subjects. I also helped tutor 9th grade students who failed all of their first semester classes.
