I believe learning should be a lifelong endeavor and fun. If it is considered a chore, the best results are not often achieved. Involving all the senses in a Montessori-style approach reaches more parts of the brain, and increases the desire to learn more. I earned my Engineering Degree in 1998 and have worked my entire career in that field. A Little Bit About Me...

I have educated both college and middle school students, and through these experiences I learned that the key to effectively teaching others is patience. I guide my students but do not do the work for them. Most students have the ability to learn the material being instructed to them. By being patient, I give the students the opportunity to problem solve on their own, which ultimately builds confidence. With more confidence, students seem to learn better. I believe this is the key to mastering any academic subject.
I recently graduated college with a BA in Human Biology, and I am currently in the transition between undergraduate school and medical school. A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked for the past 6 years with children in school settings. I did a lot of tutoring work during my school counseling internship. I tutored 3 different middle school girls who needed help in all subjects. I also helped tutor 9th grade students who failed all of their first semester classes. I have expierence in classrooms teaching from my undergraduate work. I spent a semester accumlating hours, creating and implementing lesson plans. I have a lot of experience with psychology and history as those were my secondary education subjects.
I like to take a holistic view to my teaching style and see what the children need out of a teacher.
