A Little Bit About Me...

I was an Aide in the resource center at Pollard Middle School in Massachusetts and interned as a floating substitute at Elias Howe School in Bridgeport. I student taught fourth grade at Stratford Academy. I was also an Aide for grades 5 and 6 and Christian Heritage School in Trumbull and taught grade six at CHS last year. I am currently a Title 1 Tutor at Franklin Elementary School in Stratford.

As a professor at Baku State University, I offered courses in foreign languages, linguistics, research methodologies, and pedagogical methods in language teaching. I developed and designed the Urdu curriculum at Baku State University myself, and the undergraduates and graduate students I trained went on to become diplomats, translators, medical interpreters, and language teachers. I also provided intensive private tutoring to government officials and academics who needed to learn the Russian and Azeri languages: my clients included the Indian ambassador to Azerbaijan.

To further my education, I am enrolled in graduate courses at St. Joseph's College where I will earn my Master's in the field of Literacy and Cognition. I student taught in a fifth grade classroom as well as a fourth grade inclusion class. For the past year I have been tutoring an eight year old girl with special needs.
