My career has been in advertising, graphic design, and editing/ publishing. In recent years, I have substituted in area junior and high schools, and I have taught at a certificate-granting school (now a junior college) with an emphasis on English grammar and composition.
I most enjoyed teaching young adults and adults as they prepared for tangible competencies and careers. By my encouraging this group of diverse students to help me assess their work through journal writing, they became partners.
