ADD/ADHD is one of my top subjects!

I have taught at the primary and secondary grade level in all subject areas. I have been a substitute for two years and have worked within diverse school districts around Ohio. I hold a B.S degree with Latin Honors in Special Education K-12 and have taken various courses for reading specialist. I attended Ohio State University for two years and Ohio Dominican University. I continue to further my education so that I can provide the best education to the students that I work with throughout the year.
I tend to use three different teaching styles. Demonstrator or Personal Model, Facilitator and Delegator. However, I find that students learn best when teaching styles best match the students learning styles.

My comments on tutoring ADD/ADHD : I have worked with children with ADD/ADHD for many years as well as provide services as an independent provider. I currently work with a majority of students who are ADD/ADHD at the school in which I teach at this time.

I have been working with the school system for several years. I am currently teaching a fourth/fifth grade split. Highly Qualified Intervention Specialist

Unique Tutor

Substitue teacher and esl tutor for the past 4 years. I worked with various classes from Algebra to IEP classes and ESL, from Science to Social studies and everything in between. I taught classes and did not hand out worksheets. My rules in class were, you dont waste a class period. I used litle tricks to make sure they did not waste time and actually learned from me. My students often come up to me when they see me in public to say I was their favorite sub. I started off in Art Education as a major but left to go into Marketing. The IEP classes and learning disabled classes allowed me to work one on one with students which I enjoyed.
