I really enjoy teaching and working with people of all ages. I believe everyone is able to grasp the concept of math and science when taught effectively and with patience. I am a very easy going and friendly person, and I have been told I explain things with enough detail to understand, but not too much to bog down the information. I have had many years of educational instructing in a classroom environment with my previous employment positions. I have filled the role of new hire trainer, technical instructor, and professional development program design manager. In all of these roles I had the opportunity to teach / train on various levels in both a one-on-one setting as well as a group setting. I have a passion for teaching and love sharing my knowledge with others. As a young student in grade school I wanted to be a mathematics teacher. I pursued my goal and became that teacher. I have experience as a high school mathematics teacher for 5 years and adult education mathematics teacher for 22 years. Geometry and Trigonometry was taught to Tool and Die apprentices working towards their journeyman’s certificate. I instructed students in basic arithmetic to make them more knowledgeable doing computations. I enjoy working with students and helping them succeed. Down through the years I have done some tutoring.
