I use the material that the student is familiar with to enhance the students understanding of the principles and processes that are being emphasized. I bring supplemental material for the subject area and use it as needed. Primarily, the student works problems or exercises that are required in front of me. The student verbalizes the steps and thinking processes about the subject so that I can correct fundamentals and errors in logic.

At the teaching center, the focus was to help guide the student to get the correct answer and not just give the answer.
