A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked with the hearing impaired students for three years VIA Tulsa Community College Work-Study. The subjects I have work with them are Reading and/or Math. Started March 2014, I am working with Broken Arrow Public Schools as a Substitute Teacher. This may be some elementary classes; but, mostly Secondary level.
This will vary depending on what student is working on (subjects/projects) and their level of education are.

Over the years I have had the opportunity to tutor students of all ages in English, reading, reading comprehension & Spanish. A Little Bit About Me...

I use verbal and visual techniques for teaching and prefer to add an element of kinetic learning for tutoring. I explain the material in the book, preferably after the students have read the chapter. I also provide time for questions and answers, as well as group discussions and projects. I rely on exams only to show me if the students are understanding the material. If not I offer to tutor them or suggest they find a tutor.
