Professional journalist and magazine writer with experience writing for numerous national publications and large newspapers, including US News & World Report, The Miami Herald and the Columbia Journalism Review. I've also served as the editor of local newspapers in Florida and New York. Clear, concise writing is my life's work. I have experience with several elementary reading programs, including intensive phonics programs like the Riggs Institute's 'Writing and Spelling Road to Reading and Thinking' that can be used to help students who are not reading at grade level.
