My comments on tutoring Poetry : Able to tutor/teach all elements of Poetry.

I believe in tutoring so that the child receives feedback and fully understands his/her own limitations and how to overcome obstacles in class. Many children lack positivity in the methodology! I also believe that using art instruction helps children to learn in a more creative manner.
I have over of 30 years of progressive experience in tutoring young children in the elementary years of education in all subject matter areas. My specialty is literacy and reading, but I am also adept in teaching all of the math curricula as well. I also firmly believe that teaching organizational skills and proper research methodologies are very important for the classroom today--and every child needs these skills in order to excel in the classroom and survive. My teaching philosophy is that, as educators, we must "teach the whole person". Even though I am a language arts teacher, I try to instill goals and values into my students by completing a variety of acitivities. I love hands-on teaching and allowing my students to have fun while learning.
