years of tutoring experience on on one I am most proficient in Levantine Arabic (the colloquial Arabic of Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria), although I also speak Modern Standard Arabic. I also have a great background in classical Arabic, and I have worked with IRaqi and Egyptian Arabic and am knowledgable of Moroccan as well. Arabic is one of my top subjects!

Arabic is my first language because I grew up in Egypt. I studied Arabic throughout my education in elementary, middle and high school. In addition, I studied Arabic in college, which included but was not limited to: literary analysis, grammar, poetry, speech/public speaking, and professional writing. In regard to the method, I learned that each student has his or her own way to assimilate new material. This is why I try to create a balanced between a collaborative communication, audio- visual scenes, traditional class participation, and logical organization of the material. In regard to the foreign language, I saw that creating a real life situation in class make the student more involved and willing to make the effort to speak. In the meantime, I always insert a grammar rule as part of a reading and speaking of a certain subject. I found students are more receivable to this method as opposed to just lecturing grammar rule. I also found that they found it easier to remembering these rules by referring to the subject read or spoken.
