My comments on tutoring English : Was a featured writer at the Niagara Gazette for three years. Took many English courses. I am good in my own language as well as in Spanish.

I try to engage my student, to tease the learning out of him or her. I have learned to explain, to give the information then to step back, allowing my student to think through to the conclusion. This involves silence sometimes, and the student talking more while I talk less, something not so easy for a teacher of Italian descent. Experiences has shown, however, that it often works.

My comments on tutoring English : I am exceptionally knowledgeable in the usages of the English language due my heavy Latin background.

While pursuing a double degree from the University at Buffalo and working part-time, I worked in peer tutoring groups for Latin and writing. I have experience proof reading papers and correcting grammar. My four semesters of college Latin have given me a understanding of English language origins and modern usages. A Little Bit About Me...

Homeschooling Mom to my 2 boys for the past 5 years. Have taught them pre-K through 6th grade. They have received consistent A's and A+'s as well as 98th-99th %ile on the CAT tests every year.
