During my junior year of undergraduate work, I was contacted by a professor and asked to become an English tutor intern for my fellow students and visiting exchange students from Aichi, Japan. I was told that this hands-on tutoring would also coincide with an upper level English class, a class in which permission of its instructor, the English department and recommendations from other professors were all required. I accepted the offer and began my brief journey as a tutor from January 2008-May 2008 and truly enjoyed the time I spent helping others learn the language and writing skills that go hand-in-hand with the English language. As a graduate of a SUNY school I had the pleasure of studying with people from all walks of life. I earned a Bachelor in History which I find vital for the development of our modern world. My writing skills have been developing since my High School studies and it only prepared me for my college writing assignments.
