A Little Bit About Me...

I am a Senior in high school and I can help with any of the fields I have listed. I can only do online but I am sure I can do a great job helping the student. I have been playing the violin since 5th grade so I have a lot of experience in that and I know how most songs are supposed to sound. More About This Tutor...

I love working with children of all ages. I really like elementary age children. I have a hands-on approach to education. I want kids to get their hands into activities so that they may retain things longer. Now I do realize that not every student is hands-on. That is the responsibility of a teacher or tutor to find out what works for each student and set the envioronment for each learning experience.
I taught public school for 4 years before getting a masters degree in Religious Education with a Concentration in Childhood Education. I wanted to complement my undergraduate Elementary Education degree. Therefore, I choose the childhood education concentration at seminary. I believe that to engage and educate children requires a personal, hands-on, and creative teaching style. I recognize that everyone learns differently. However, I believe that a child can learn anything if he/she sees the connection between the information and their daily life. I am patient and open-minded. I don't mind working hard for results. The best way to cover information is by showing all sides of it. I believe in developing trust within the teacher-student relationship.
