A Little Bit About Me...

I have earned an MBA with a concentration in finance, which has given me a solid understanding of financial concepts. I also have a certificate in accounting, which provided me with an excellent understanding of accounting principles that ultimately helped me pass the CPA exam and become a licensed CPA. In addition to my formal education, I was a Marine Corps officer for nine years. I was able to develop an understanding of human behavior and apply this understanding to provide training and instruction to ensure those under my supervision where able to fully carry out their assigned duties.

I really enjoy being around kids and helping them learn new things. When you teach a kid something and they finally get it, the sight of their face lighting up is priceless. I believe that one should teach using a variety of methods because all kids do not learn the same way and each individual method shows something new each time. I believe that all kids can learn so much if they work as hard as they can and put forth maximum effort. I think it is very easy to learn/teach using as many hands on examples as possible.
