I feel that teaching children is a very important field of work. Our young people deserve educational training and experiences which challenge them to grow, intellectually, physically, culturally, socially and academically, regardless of disability or gifting. I am aware of various learning styles and try to adapt my teaching style to individual needs in a calm, patient, active learning setting. More About This Tutor...

I have recently retired from the U.S. Army as a medic. During my service, I was frequently responsible for both formal and informal teaching and training. I learned to easily adapt to various learning styles, learning barriers, and researching subjects. While still in the service, I utilized my lunch breaks and evenings to further my education and emerged with my AA and completed Nurse Assistant training while still serving and my BS only one year later; two months after retiring. Currently, I am working on my MS in Health Promotion with a certificate in Disaster in Public Health. I am capable of producing a lesson and effectively teaching any subject.
