A Little Bit About Me...

I personally can say that I have learned the most & can recall the most from those teachers that I consider my favorites. I believe it is because they knew how to inspire and motivate me to achieve what I thought I couldn’t or didn’t want to do. Those early experience is the inspiration behind the way I teach/tutor and write. I once heard it stated that ‘no one cares how much you know until they know how much you care’. I truly believe that you have to have a genuine interest in the individuals you are trying to inspire in order to make learning a possibility, especially in young children & adolescents. I have four semesters of calculus, numerous chemistry, physics, engineering, computer science, statistics, finance, accounting, marketing, management, and liberal arts courses. I also have a temporary CT teaching certificate for secondary education math.
I believe any student is capable of learning any subject when they are taught in a gentle and patient manner. I taught school for four (4) years to ages kindergarten - seventh grade. I also tutored inner city children ages 5-12 for two (2) years. For the last eight (8) years I have been tutoring ages kindergarten- third grade. I took courses in psychology and children. I have a J.D. Degree, Masters Degree and Bachelor of Arts Degree. I have been in a school environment as my favorite pass time was to spend with children. Math is my favorite course. I helped students achieve good grip on calculations and solving problems. In Short- Teaching kids gives me peace and satisfaction in life.
