A Little Bit About Me...

I think the biggest part of getting children to understand what they need to know is relating to something that they like. For example, if a child likes basketball then you can relate counting and math to how the players score points in a basketball game. I think it is important to be patient and get to know the children in order to teach them effectively. I also think that making learning fun and inventive is an effective way of teaching.

My profession and academic education was in business and psychology, but my passion has always been working with children. For the last 7 years, I have worked as a substitute teacher, for Lee County Schools. And for the last 5 years, I have spent my summer months traveling throughout SE Asia, volunteering time in orphanages and schools, teaching the children English.
