I am an electric engineering student at Tufts UNiversity, who graduated high school with a GPA of 4.2 and 11 AP classes.I have tutored mostly Math and physics and Chemistry to high school students, and all most all academic subjects to elementray school student. I believe that teaching through lecture and hands-on activities is the most effective. A student that is capable of "teaching" the teacher a lesson and explaining the subject in their own words will have a greater understanding of the subject. When I teach and tutor I explain to the student the topic in my words, and then continue to ask for feedback until the student is capable of explaining the lesson in their own words.
While attending law school, I spent 2 full academic years tutoring first year law students. I tutored property and constitutional law. It was through tutoring that I was able to help several students improve their grades, both through emotional support and exceptional knowledge in the subjects. I enjoy learning new things and sharing that knowledge with others.

I have always been passionate about business and economics. As a young adult, I read every book about the subject that I could get my hands on! In college, I pursued a BS degree in Finance with a minor in Economics. I was the top student in my department and won a scholarship from Financial Executives International. I graduated with honors in 2004. Since then I have enjoyed a number of full time finance related roles including that of Senior Financial Analyst and most recently: small business owner. I have a unique approach to teaching because my background is both analytical (numbers and science) and imaginative (theater and literature). While classroom training is my forte, I also have a solid background in teaching online. This combination is particularly useful since no two children learn in the same way. I do not believe any student is dumb. If he or she has struggled picking up a concept, it is more likely because the right method of teaching has not yet been explored. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been doing tax preparation, audits, finacial statement preparation, accounting, data entry, monthly reconciliation, forensic accounting, and preparing trial balances while in college and there after. I have taken Excel classes and can use Power point. I have mentored peers within my office.
I love helping people who are learning in a field that I love. I chose to go into accounting while I was still in high school and I haven't had a regret yet. None of my family had gone to college, so it was predicted I would not either. I had a hunger to learn, so I systematically worked full-time and studied part-time, earning eight major degrees in cities where they alowed residency rquirements to be met in such a way. I was young and energetic, so it was a lot of work, but a joy. It took about 15 years to finally earn my doctorate. Along the way, I earned certification in a half dozen fields (especially loved English, social stuides, and psychology).
