I have taught Math at the middle level for four years, helping students gain skills and confidence to improve their math performance. I have taught general and advanced Math classes. My instruction has guided students to perform better in class and on standardized tests. I emphasize that standardized tests make the math process easier by displaying the possible correct answer, so working backwards is an option. But most importantly I have learned that several students suffer from test anxiety in class and more frequently on standardized tests. I have 5 nephews and a daughter of my own shop I'm great with children. I was an honors grad and I also became a certified nursing assistant before I even graduated high school. I start out with discussing the area of weakness with the student and then try to investigate why this might be the area of weakness. Once this is discovered, I teach the student (through examples) until they understand the topic with which they need help.
