I have taught 4 and 5th grade in the Texas School Systems for 24 years. I worked as a retired teacher in the Adams Wells Special Services Coop for 3 years (2006-2009)as a teacher's aide with special needs students both in the elementary and high school levels. Those children varied from autistic, cerebal palsy, Attention Deficit Disorders with and without Hyperactivity. I really enjoyed working with these students to help them with their reading, math, and overall achievement. I am currently employed as a substitute teacher with the North Adams Community Schools on K-12 Levels. I believe the greatest thing about knowledge is the ability to share it. I love to learn, but that is only the first step. The true reward comes in being able to impart that knowledge of someone else. However, each person learns differently. Whether in a classroom setting or one-on-one tutoring, it is imperative that the teacher learn how each student learns.
