My comments on tutoring Computer Programming : Java

Learning can be difficult when the fundamentals are not understood. Education becomes easier when the basics are understood. My teaching style assures the fundamentals are understood, the basics are known and then build on top of it. Students takes chances and learn on their own when they have the fundamental understanding. Students tend to cram the solutions when the basic are not understood. A Little Bit About Me...

My goal is to to break the cycle of rote learning and show my students how a lesson can be applied to real-world knowledge. Understanding "why" helps students enjoy math or, at the very least, dislike it less. I believe Math is just like sports, music or dance: you need to practice to be proficient.

A Little Bit About Me...

I attended ASU where I had an excellent tutor in chemistry that took me as a math/stats tutor under his wing. I learned great personal tutoring techniques and tutored a range of students from middle school to college. I have excellent math/stats background and can tutor anything from basic elementary classes to advanced college level math/stats classes.
I am a one on one mentor/role model/teacher that explains problems in a fashion to the students understanding. Math is often very hard for people to understand because they can't apply it to real world situations. I take the problems and teach the student how to see the problem in the easiest way for them.
