I love teaching. I always get well prepared before I sit down with someone. A couple of hours of preparation beforehand can make the difference between a tedious, unproductive experience and one that encourages the student and makes the excited about learning. I try to help with sticking points and not to lecture. I am extremely proficient with mathematics having received a BS in mechanical engineering and a minor in mathematics. I did a lot of my school work in groups at college as well, so I am extremely good at working with others and know how to help people work out solutions to problems in order to figure out the answer. I started off college at Mohawk Valley Community College and earned a Liberal Arts and Science degree. I feel that all college students should be well rounded and should take a wide variety of courses. I then enrolled at Utica College to finish my BS degree. Over those two years, I took 18 science courses and most of them were accompanied by labs. It was stressful and difficult but it was something I was determined to complete.
