As a young person, I thought I did not need to go to college. It did not take long to realize I was wrong. Over the next 20 years, I raised two children, worked, and attended classes. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA and a degree in Information Systems. As an education advocate, I have mentored school-age children with English, Writing, and computer skills. I was Director of Education for two years and then served as Superintendent of Schools for two districts for a total of 15 years. During that time I never lost connection with teaching, mentoring students from all levels of education and continued to teach in the classroom at least once a week.
