I have a Bachelors and Masters in Mathematics. I have been tutoring students in Mathematics since early in my college career. I have been teaching at the community college and university level for the past 4 years. During this time I have taught college level and high school level math as well as Mathematics for Elementary School Teachers. I love working with children. I have helped with pre-K and grade school children with an emphasis on working with Autistic children. All children can succeed in school given the right tools; just because they do not get the idea from one method does not mean that they won't get it from a different method. I think that all children can learn regardless of age, learning ability or other status, if given a chance.
I spent two years teaching and tutoring Autistic children. I aided in routine skills, verbal skills and dealing with change. I have worked with two different children on these skills. I also have extensive skills in writing and researching for my research papers. I also have great knowledge of APA format and can write an essay in no time flat.

A Little Bit About Me...

I earned a BA cum laude at Austin College in 1969, and an MA in Economics at the University of Oregon in 1974. I have been teaching at the University level for 31 years, and am currently teaching at both Willamette University and Chemeketa CC in Salem. My teaching specialties are in Labor Economics and Managerial Economics.
I employ an interdisciplinary style of teaching, which integrates the overhead projector (ELMO), computer sites on Economics and economic policy, and a large personal collection of video sources related to Economic policy and thought.
