I am extremely passionate about the education of our youth, and I believe that it is the foundation of a growing society. I have worked with children in urban high schools and juvenile facilities, and I have thus learned to appreciate the difference that a dedicated teacher can make in an environment that does not lend itself to learning and growth. In addition, I have worked with adults who did not have the opportunity to receive a quality education in their youth. Their willingness and excitement to learn was inspiring. I worked in a research lab in college and was responsible for training new students.
