As the son of a teacher, education has always been an important part of my life. For the past 25 years I have had the pleasure of working with youth in many different capacities. After receiving my teaching certificate in 1998, I spent a few years working as a substitute teacher teaching in all subject areas for all grades. In 2006 I attended Pacific Lutheran University earning my masters degree in educational leadership with endorsements in special education, reading, and elementary education. After graduate school, I found a job in a middle school EBD classroom. Here I designed my own behavior management program, managed education plans, and created lessons that were exciting and engaging for my students. I worked in this classroom for 2 years.
