I have been working with preschool to high school age students since 2004. I have always had tutoring positions, whether it was for my peers in college, volunteering for the Salvation Army, or running after school programs after graduating. I am a PA certified tutor, with conflict resolution, mentor, and CERT training (Community Emergency Rescue Team). It is important to me to have a profession where I feel that I am helping other people to progress in their lives. My education has given me a unique background in child development and knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques. All of which enable me to create lessons that use innovative methods and approaches to engage all students in the learning process. I have completed a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, a master's degree in Reading and Language Arts, and hold two teaching certifications, Elementary Education and Reading Specialist. I have had numerous experiences working with children including teaching, tutoring, working as a nanny, and a camp counselor. I am currently working as a reading specialist and have tutored children in a variety of settings.
