I have 35 years experience teaching grades one through seven. I know how to teach reading, writing, general math, social studies, and general science. I enjoy teaching and do my best to make learning fun and easy for my pupils. I approach lessons by letting the student realize how and why the lesson is important and how it relates to their lives. I firmly believe everyone can learn; the style in which they learn may differ from others, but given the correct approach, all teachers/tutors can be successful.
With my Bachelor's degree, I began tutoring through Reading Success and conducted private tutoring of Georgia History. A Little Bit About Me...

I love tutoring and mentoring kids, period. It's spiriturally rewarding to me as an adult to have a part in a child's development. I believe every child is special. There's is no doubt in my mind that if a tutor approach is based on patience, quality time and empathy, he or she will be successful and effective. The latter mentioned characteristics has always been viewed by me as the hallmarks of tutoring. Since elementary school, I have known the value of a good education and I have always had a strong drive and love for learning. I have earned a bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports Science and a master's degree in Applied Exercise Physiology, which has allowed me to attain knowledge in diverse areas of science.
