I am going to school to become a teacher in the grades of kindergarten through 5th, I have been a nanny for several people and have enjoyed it completely! During my nanny duties, I would of course have a home-schooling section and would also help around the house when needed, so I think that I am a very good candidate for teaching basics and other subjects to help kids better themselves and their studies! My teaching style is more hands on because that's how I learned fastest when I was in school.

I am attending school for early childhood degree. Working with children and others have always been apart of me. Throughout school I am always helping and tutoring someone. Teaching someone something that I already know and something they should know or what to know makes me happy. I substitute before and volunteer my time a lot with daycare, Boys and Girls Club, after school programs, and even at church. I love to grab up my neighbor children to see how they are doing in school and if they need help with some work that they may have not gotten an understanding from their teacher or their parents do not understand. I would describe my teaching style as friendly. I try not to give off so much of teacher-student type atmosphere, because many children get discouraged and are not as comfortable and not as willing to learn. I am currently a high school junior. That being said, I do not have a degree. However, I am in the top 20% of my high school class, I take only honors classes, and actually learn the material so I can tutor a student who needs help. I am pretty versatile when it comes to teaching. I see what works best for a given individual or group and try to meet students where they are academically. I also attempt to motivate students by incorporating topics they enjoy into lessons. I am a former high school and middle school English teacher who is currently pursuing a Master's of English at East Carolina University. This past semester I tutored in a writing studio at ECU.
