I am a graduate student at ASU studying Education Administration. I have experience working with students of all ages 5-17. I currently work in a middle school and spend my weekends teaching life skills to troubled youth. I have taught for over 6 years and I plan to continue teaching for as long as I can. I am currently certified in the state of Arizona in the following subjects: English, Latin and general sciences. I teach two courses of Latin at Glendale Community College, Glendale, Arizona. One class is in the classroom and the other is on the Internet. I also am a substitute teacher in Peoria, Arizona.
My teaching style is quite organized, but also empathetic. I allow for students to use their various aptitudes and abilities to learn. For example, when a student normally presents a report to the class, that student reads from his notes. I had one student who was musically inclined and played her guitar to make her presentation. She used her musical skills quite effectively.
