The methods of teaching I was instructed when I obtained my Bachelor in Education at the University of Akron Ohio, from 1989-1991, was the following Integrated, Whole language approach and Montessori. The method we were instructed to use in the Akron city school system was Integrated which uses basic and whole language approach language Arts. These integrated units allow us the opportunity to make sure children are learning relevant information and applying that knowledge to real life scenarios. Language Arts is what I use in all my teachings and lesson plans.

A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from MIllersville University and spent 34 years teaching high scool classes. During my work on my MA I studied in Passau,W. Gerany,at the Goethe Institut, as part of my MA degree studies. I've also taught night school conversational classes at the local community college and have done both elementary,secondary and college ESL tutoring.
I love teaching and sharing the German culture with my students. I try and motivate my students by showing my enthusiasm while presenting the material to them and sharing my personal experiences with them to illustrate that German is not just a language but a country with really nice people. My mother tongue is German. I graduated from University in 2000. My major was Sociology (social sciences) and I graduated with a Master's Degree in my home country Austria. During my university education, I participated in an exchange program and spent one semester in the US (UTC, Tennessee, Chattanooga).
