After graduation I decided never to stop studying Law, the Brazilian legal system, different legal systems around the world and international law, both public and private. I became a specialist in tax law, a master in jurisprudence and a PhD in international law. Becoming a professor was only natural and my teasing career began in 1992 or 1993. As a child I learned to speak English and French as well as Portuguese. After that I learned other foreign languages. I am now living in the US and would like to teach again.
I believe in education and don't understand why people don't invest more time and resources in education. Educated human beings not only look different but they are different from within. As a science educator I strive to have students build their own knowledge with my guidance. A Little Bit About Me...

While gaining BA in biology from a nationally ranking liberal arts college, I further expanded my knowledge by receiving a SURF/SILO Grant to conduct independent breast cancer research, working for a brain tumor research laboratory, and pursuing drug development as an independent contractor for a pharmaceutical company. As a college student, I also acted as a teaching assistant for zoology and comparative vertebrate anatomy laboratories for three years. An undeclared minor in religion, which ingrained excellent writing and critical thinking skills, enhances my extensive experience in math and science. A Little Bit About Me...

I have educated both college and middle school students, and through these experiences I learned that the key to effectively teaching others is patience. I guide my students but do not do the work for them. Most students have the ability to learn the material being instructed to them. By being patient, I give the students the opportunity to problem solve on their own, which ultimately builds confidence. With more confidence, students seem to learn better. I believe this is the key to mastering any academic subject.
