I have a BA degree from the University of Central Florida in Education and a current Florida Teaching Certificate. I have taught high school for 18 years before relocating. At that time I worked in the informal education field as an afterschool program teacher and manager of a educational programming business, educational director at a Museum and Nature Center and opened my own educational business for developing educational programs. I am currently working on my Masters of Education Degree and desire to move into the Instructional Design and Technology field. My first major mentoring/teaching experience occurred in college when I began leading study groups and eventually organizing tutoring sessions with a number of my fellow English, Calculus, and Physics students. I then obtained a position as a youth counselor with the YMCA and quickly moved up to Site Coordinator where I was in charge of my own after school care group, including being in charge of organizing activities and managing youth counselors. Most recently I underwent PADI Divemaster training where I had real world experience teaching and assisting PADI Open Water students with classroom, confined water, and open water training.
