A Little Bit About Me...

As a fourth year special education teacher, I have an extensive repertoire of strategies to help students learn. Having worked with both disabled and nondisabled children, primarily in small group and 1:1 settings, I have developed an acute sense of each of my students' learning styles, strengths and needs. Previously, I have tutored in math, social studies and study skills at the upper elementary level. Over the years I have worked with students between the ages of 2 to 21, addressing a wide range of educational and developmental needs. I am Highly Qualified to teach at the elementary level (K-6) and certified in K-12 general special education. My BA in English also permits me to work with older students in reading and written expression. An avowed lifelong learner, I have always excelled in school, and I greatly enjoy helping other people achieve their personal best.
