I like to share my passion that comes from the pure enjoyment of understanding a subject and sharing this passion with my students. As an engineer I try to show the practical application of concepts, and from my interests in history and literature I try to provide an historical context to the development of the concept being taught. I have a strong desire to use my abilities and interests as a professional educator. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Accounting. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching guitar lessons for a year now. I have just graduated from Colorado State University Pueblo with my Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts. In my education at CSU I have also acquired six credit hours in education classes and observed 60 hours in public schools.
In my experience as a musician, I have found that teaching a subject I love can really inspire students to excel. It's necessary to spread our knowledge to others. My specialty is music, but I love to teach in general because kids need good mentors. Each child is different so I use an individualized approach to my teaching styles. We all learn differently whether we are auditory, visual, or kinesthetic learners. I asses the student and provide the material/exercises necessary in order to create the best learning experience possible.

As a teacher with the Colorado Department of Corrections for 28 years, I had the opportunity to teach several subjects at several levels. Through my experience I had the opportunity to teach reading at a very fundamental level to adults. I also taught math and English to inmate students studying for their GED. I especially enjoyed the opportunity to teach English as a secondary language to non- English speaking students. I helped develop and teach an English grammar curriculum for a Corrrectional staff class. In 2005 I was honored by my peers to be given the Correctional Teacher of the year for a 5 state region.
