I have a master's degree in English plus 21 hours. I taught high school English for 21 years. I now teach online and tutor at the Boys and Girls Club. Graduating from Concordia College in Moorhead with a degree in accounting, and a strong background of math and businesses courses has given me an excellent background in math. I also took various english and writing composition classes which has provided me with excellent communication skills. I have work for various customer service companies which has brought out my natural strength of handling human relationships. Which could prove beneficial when interacting with customers. I have a concrete-sequential learning style, and am very aware of the need for practice and repetition to develop and perfect skill acquisition. Stereotypically low proficiency in writing capabilities in many students is due to the fact that many of them are not expected to produce nearly enough original written materials of any length during their public school years. They are also far more likely to become successful writers if they will discipline themselves to read a great deal.
