I have tutored in my church tutorial program and for the Metropolitian Certified Teachers Program; where we provided services for struggling students to improve their scores on the SAT and other statewide exams.I have obtain extensive skills and knowledge in administiring tests, developing IEP's and collaborating with staff, families and others. I give the students plenty of time to figure out the answer and do not get frustrated with them if it takes them awhile. When the students get a correct answer, I praise them and try to boost their confidence.
As a recent college graduate, I understand the time and commitment it takes to achieve success in school. I earned a bachelor degree in chemistry with a minor in liberal arts. As a member of the chemistry honor society, I tutored students in chemistry during my college career.

I graduated from Stillman College with a BS in Biology. In addition, I was a Howard Hughes Medical Research Intern where I gained hands-on experience in a research laboratory that focused on Cardiovascular diseases. After graduating from college, I started my career in Education by teaching science courses at Green County High School. I love helping others learn about science. During my two years teaching, I tutored many of my students after school. Currently, I am gaining my Master's in Secondary Biology Education at the University of West Alabama.
I understand that learning should be student-centered and not teacher-centered. I am aware that learning is centered around the student, and I take the opportunity to understand that student's learning style.
