Not every method works for every child; with one exception, patience. I demonstrate and exemplify patience. If a child feels as though they are in an atmosphere where they are safe, free of ridicule and bias, then they are willing to perform. This process can be a give take scenario however. As a graduate of a small, liberal arts, women's college, I have grown a strong passion for tutoring and helping others. I am currently studying to obtain a Master's in Public Health in order to ultimately educate the public about various health disparities. A Little Bit About Me...

While in college, I spent my time home from school substitute teaching through Frederick County Public Schools. After graduation from American University, I continued to substitute and in the fall of 2005 I took a part-time position at a middle school, teaching Theatre Arts and Music Performance Lab. While teaching, I began my teaching certification through the Maryland State Department of Education, where I completed a course called Inclusion: Making it Happen. I also taught dance at Dance Unlimited and Elite Feet Dance studios in addition to working at numerous children's theatre camps throughout Maryland and West Virginia.
