I match my teaching style to the learning style of each individual. My first session with the student is when I can determine whether their learning style is visual, audial, tactile, kinesthetic or a combination of these. I then write a prescription of study with the student that include several objectives and a timeline to achieve these goals. I work with the student to promote a sense of achievement and to build confidence for future learning.
Gaining and sharing knowledge has been a driving force throughout my life. Literacy is one of the greatest gifts we can give to our children. I thrill when students finally master a concept that they have been striving to grasp.
