I am very straightforward in my style. I really enjoy doing things my way and seeing how the student responds. If the response is not positive then I modify and try again until we get it right. I am very much an auditory person myself so I am very verbal and love to talk things through.
I came to teaching as a second career when I realized I was not happy in local politics. I earned a degree in Secondary Education with English certification grades 5-12. I am a lover of learning. I began my teaching and tutoring as a home school father. One of the goals I set for my children, and later my students, is that of understanding the idea of self-direction. Helping students grasp onto the responsibility habit has shown to be a very strong foundation in my continued teaching and tutoring.
