Portraits, Animals I've been drawing all my life and I started portrait drawing and realism drawings when I was 14. I took honors/AP art classes all through High School. Won various awards at art contests with my school. I have a large portfolio with many types of mediums used. I'm particularly good with charcoal and graphite and ebony pencil. I've been hired for freelance jobs in the past and I'm willing to give references. I enjoy working with kids of all ages. I'm very patient and understanding no matter what level of drawing the student is on. I start with the very basics and go up from there.

My teaching is style is very interesting. I believe that knowing other artists work is important in the development of your style. I like to give the artist a chance to do what they're comfortable with and then make them stop completely and try something new. For example I used to only draw portraits in value and I would never paint, simply because I believed I sucked at painting. Well, I stopped my value portraiture and would just start to paint faces with no guidance at all. One day a painting could almost look like the person and I would have to tell you who it was for you to know, and some days you wouldn't be able to tell it was a person. Then, one day something just clicked on my brain and I painted an actual person that actually looked like them. I have been teaching/helping out my cousins and friends with their studies. I do not hold a very prestigious professional experience, However, I started full time college at the age of 17 and am planning on getting my bachelors as well as my masters in Accounting/Business. If the circumstances are right, I might also give medical school a try. Visual style is my favorite because most people have a tendency to view various things and store it in their memory.
