I have been a special needs teacher (k-8 moderate disabilities) for seven years, and an Orton-Gillingham instructor for eight years. My comments on tutoring Basic Learning Skills : Certified Elementary School Teacher, grades 1-6. I have taught grades 1, 2, 3 and 4 (presently)

Depending upon the subject matter that I am teaching, my teaching style varies. Some time direct instruction along with rote memorization is my choice but I also examine the learning style of the individual and vary my teaching style to the learning mode of my student. I feel I am very organized and structured.
