The majority of my educational experience was acquired along with my teaching license at Colorado State University. This experience includes practicums in Fort Collins schools and 16 weeks of student teaching at Loveland High School. All 3 stints involved either algebra or geometry. While taking courses for my license, I augmented my math knowledge with classes that included calculus, abstract algebra, and non-Euclidean geometry. I also tutored a visually impaired student in her integrated math classes. I am now applying for my license, which I expect to receive in July. As a retired Air Force aircraft maintenance technician much of my time in the Air Force was spent as a supervisor training and mentoring young airmen to maintain sophisticated jet aircraft. I have spent the last three years working as a substitute teacher. I have worked in every grade level in elementary school, and have worked in all academic disciplines in middle school and high school.
