My comments on tutoring Science : Once again Science was my major in college and I graduated with a science degree.

I have worked in the science field for several years which has allowed me to utilize my college degree. Coming from a aerobic teaching background, I have no trouble motivation and explanation. As an Le Moyne College graduate, I was required to become well rounded in a multiple areas of study. I have achieved a BA in History and minor in the German language. The core courses in the Le Moyne curriculum assisted me in becoming well rounded in the areas of philosophy, religion,math and science. While working on my associates degree I tutored pre-calculus and statistics. I also worked briefly with catholic charities tutoring all subjects for high school students in need. I then completed my bachelors degree while tutoring part time at SUNY Oswego and independently with a high school student in Math and AP physics. I am currently working with that same H.S. student and now I am also working with a third grade student as well (also in math).

A Little Bit About Me...

You can preach all you want to children, but if you don't teach, there will be no learning. I believe that children will learn from someone they trust to talk to and from someone who they trust to give them the correct answers to their questions. I enjoy being that person. A Little Bit About Me...

It is very important to me that my students have fun while they are learning. Much of my teaching is done through games and hands-on experiences. I also firmly believe in the use of technology (computers) to help teach and reinforce concepts being taught. Every child has strengths and it is important to build upon those strengths.
I am currently a sixth grade teacher at a Catholic Elementary School. I have been with the same school for the past 14 years. My experience there has been in the following grade levels: Pre-School, First Grade, Fourth Grade, Sixth Grade, Seventh Grade Math & Science, and Eighth Grade Math & Science.
