A Little Bit About Me...

In high school I helped tutor younger children. My freshmen year of college I volunteered as a tutor at Ely Chapman. I am currently a teaching assistant for an Anatomy lab. All of my experience has been one-on-one tutoring and I typically take a hands on approach to learning. Since I am a college student I am constantly learning new information and the most effective study skills.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is hands on. Students need to work with concepts to understand them. I can often explain things in a manor that students understand. I believe every student can learn if given the correct instruction for their learning style.
I went back to school afer retiring from my job as a medical technologist to start a new career as a teacher. I have tutored in the past as a college student. I graduated from Ohio University in 1978 with a BS in Education. I went on to earn a Masters degree in Educational Administration. I hold two valid permanent teaching certificates and a professional license. I have been fortunate to have taught all grades and all subjects with the exception of 1st, 3rd, and 4th. I have also had the pleasure of being an ABLE instructor for adults. I am currently teaching high school, however have been offered a 4th grade position in math and science. I have worked with gifted, regular, and special education students. I continue to take classes at Ohio and Ashland University. Also, I am a Teaching Fellow for the Historical Society.
